Not going to go into a whole lot of back-story here, since you can read that just about anywhere online today. I just wanted to give a shout out and congratulations to Jon Lester on his no hitter last night against Kansas City in Fenway. I have now seen Nomo, Lowe, Buchholz and Lester pitch a no hitter for the Sox, and that is pretty cool. This one was just a little more special though considering the back story that Lester has. Coming back from life-threatening cancer and then pulling off a rare feat like that is incredible.
So…congrats!
Oh yea, a little congrats to Varitek too…first catcher to ever be on that side of the plate for 4 no hitters. That’s impressive in its own right.

If I had been there his cancer would have came back.

Best comment in this blog so far. I really laughed out loud at that one. More funny because it’s true. Your Red Sox Karma sucks, and you should never be allowed to go to another game again! Haha.
