A co-worker recently asked me why I, an IT and all around web geek, didn’t have my own blog yet. I replied that I didn’t have anything to say that anybody would really care about, and who wants to write to an audience of one? Sounds kinda like the person on the bus that talks to themselves, only this is in the digital world. I am decidedly NOT crazy. Besides, I don’t have the time or dedication to keep up with a regular posting regimen.
Well, after thinking about it, I decided I’d do it anyway. See, I am always stumbling upon things on the web or thinking of little things that bug me, annoy me, make me happy, sad, whatever. Those things are “live in the moment” type things that seem to get lost over time. If anything, this blog is going to be a place where I can record those things for my own personal amusement later on down the line. A 21st century version of a journal, I guess.
So, if anyone else is this crazy digital world ends up reading this, then hey, I hope I entertain and you enjoy the site. If it’s only me, hey, that’s cool too. I tend to enjoy my own company and I always entertain myself!
I’m a 33 year old Web Developer, working at a medium sized media company in downtown Minneapolis. I have a dog and a cat, and of course, a lovely wife, Lori. We treat our animals like kids, almost to the point where we make ourselves sick.
So, me, or whoever else reads this, enjoy my ramblings, rants, jokes, stories, and general randomness. This should be a fun experiment!

So this is what a blog is. If the dog and cat are like kids how come you told us your lovely wifes name but not your kids. By the way how is the grand dog and grand cat.

A digital journal – pretty good idea! Something we all should consider. Randomly or not, thoughts are good things – keeps the brain alive!

Dad – the “granddog and grandcat” are fine. Took Libby to the vet the other day for her back leg. X-Rays are being reviewed by a specialist (cha-ching! $$$) right now, but my vet thinks that it is just early arthritis. Giving her light pain meds – doggie asprin & glucosamine/chondroitin.
Mom – yea, I’m having fun with this. It is surpsingly easy to find stuff to write about, finding the time to get to the stuff I want to write is the hard part. Regardless if I have people reading this or not, it’s fun to keep around.

The story of Locks of Love touches the hearts of all who read it.
It affirms my belief that there is inherent “good” in mankind.
The world around us can be very cruel, the media dwells on the atrocities, we only see the negative in any given situation.
Whether we believe in a supreme being or not, we need to treat each other with more kindness and think positively!
